The East End Dumpster Rental Guide

New to renting a roll-off? Here’s everything you need to pick the right size, prep for delivery, and avoid surprise fees.

How dumpster rental works

Renting a roll-off is simple: you tell us the project, we recommend a size, we deliver the container to your driveway, you fill it at your own pace, and we haul it away. The whole thing usually runs about a week. Below are the questions we get most — and honest answers to each.

Choosing the right size

The most common mistake is guessing. Too small and you’re paying for a second haul; too big and you’re paying for air. Here’s a quick rule of thumb:

  • 10-yard — a single room, a garage cleanout, or a small landscaping job.
  • 15-yard — a bathroom or kitchen remodel, or a small roof.
  • 20-yard — most home renovations and mid-size construction. Our most popular.
  • 25-yard — larger renovations and heavier debris.
  • 30-yard — new construction, major demo, and full-property cleanouts.

Still not sure? That’s what the phone’s for — call us and we’ll spec it in one minute.

Before your delivery

  • Clear a flat, accessible spot — a driveway is ideal.
  • Leave room for the truck to back in and lower the container.
  • Let us know about low wires, tight gates, or soft ground.
  • Have a rough idea of your materials, especially anything heavy.

What can (and can’t) go in

Most household junk, renovation debris, wood, furniture, and general construction material is fine. A few things have rules — hazardous waste, certain heavy fills, and some appliances. Heavy material like concrete needs a dedicated heavy-load container. When in doubt, ask us before drop-off and we’ll tell you straight.

Good to know

Questions we get a lot.

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

Pricing depends on size, how long you keep it, and the type of material. We give you a clear number up front with no hidden fees — call for a quick quote.

How long is a standard rental?

About 7 days. Need it longer? Just tell us up front — we’re flexible, especially for contractors.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Not usually — as long as we know where to place the container and the spot is accessible.

Can I move the dumpster once it’s placed?

Please don’t — moving a loaded container can damage your driveway. Tell us the ideal spot and we’ll set it right the first time.
